TROUBLE: More Delays For 'Unplugged' CD
August 10, 2004Reunited doom legends TROUBLE have posted the following message on their web site:
"The new TROUBLE unplugged CD 'Simple Mind Condition' has turned out to be anything but SIMPLE. Computer crashes, lost files, and anything else that can stand in the way has (it’s almost as if something is trying to keep it from coming out). These setbacks will not stop the release of this project. NO MATTER WHAT! It will just be a little later then we all expected. The band is very grateful for the support and patience of all waiting.
"They are thinking about an East Coast, followed by a Southwest tour this fall while waiting to enter the studio. Talks with several booking agents are on going. This will only make the band even tighter before recording [the new album] 'Seven'."
As previously reported, "Simple Mind Condition" contains acoustic versions of five classic TROUBLE numbers along with two brand new songs. The CD was recently remixed by Vinny Wojno (MACHINE HEAD, KREATOR, KONKHRA) at a studio in San Francisco. Among the cuts set to appear on "Simple Mind Condition" are "Misery Shows Act II", "Flowers", "Rain", "Requiem" and "Tragedy Man".
TROUBLE are tentatively scheduled to enter the studio before the end of the year to record their long-awaited follow-up to 1995's "Plastic Green Head", due in early 2005 through an as-yet-undetermined label. In addition, the band have plans to re-release their classic "Trouble" (1984, later renamed "Psalm 9") and "Skull" (1985) CDs in November. A live DVD shot in Stockholm, Sweden last November will surface later in the year.
